Job summary

The Kroger Family of Companies is seeking a Front End Operations Associate in Omaha, NE to support day-to-day department operations and uphold our core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.

Responsibilities include process improvement, training, coaching, and maintaining a clean, customer-focused environment at the check stands and service areas. Flexible hours and weekend availability are required.

Qualifications

• Willing to work mornings, afternoons, evenings, or nights as demanded.
• Willing and available to work weekends and holidays as needed (emphasis on Prime Time).
• Store retail experience with emphasis on customer service and front-end operations.
• Ability to multi task and handle large workloads.
• Effective written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to learn a wide range of computer applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, ACE, Supersked.
• Understanding of department operations (people mgmt, merchandising, inventory, shrink, scheduling, expenses).
• High integrity and dependability; strong customer service experience.

Responsibilities

• Explore and develop more effective processes for Front End, Customer Service Center and Accounting.
• Design a cleaner, more efficient working environment for Front End, Customer Service and Accounting.
• Ensure safe, effective and efficient customer service throughout department.
• Improve Shopping Experience Progress Report, Customer Tracker and related metrics.
• Provide training, support and follow up on all aspects of Key Retailing.
• Coach and train customer service managers and front end supervisors.
• Promote and implement company initiatives and process improvements to direct reports.
• Support store management and customer service manager in maintaining a clean, organized environment at check stands and service areas.
• Follow through on special assignments and perform duties as assigned.
• Must be able to perform essential functions with or without accommodation.
