Job summary

C.W. Matthews Contracting Co., Inc is seeking a skilled Loader Operator to operate bulldozers, backhoes, excavators, front-end loaders, and other machinery to move, load, and handle materials within the asphalt plant area.

The operator will work with aggregate and related materials, assisting the Plant Foreman in managing materials handling and equipment operations efficiently. The position requires physical endurance and the ability to work outdoors under varying weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Ability to operate complex and heavy equipment with safe, efficient judgment.
• Strong manual dexterity and ability to perform labor-intensive tasks.
• Ability to keep accurate records for equipment operations and safety inspections.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment to excavate, move, load, and grade materials.
• Conduct pre-operational checks to ensure safe operation.
• Perform routine lubrication and maintenance to keep equipment ready.
• Assist the Plant Foreman with movement and handling of materials and equipment.
• Operate safely, applying knowledge of equipment capabilities and safe techniques.
• Perform occasional manual labor to support materials handling and equipment operations.
• Maintain safety awareness and comply with regulations at all times.
• Work outdoors and endure varying weather conditions.
