Baldwin Paving Company, Inc. is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator – Loader for our College Park, GA asphalt plant.

This full-time role reports to the Plant Manager and may be assigned to support other Atlanta-area plants as needed. The Loader operator will safely operate a front-end loader to move materials for asphalt production, perform pre-operation inspections, and coordinate with plant personnel to maintain production schedules.

Qualifications

• Experience operating heavy equipment in construction, quarries, asphalt plants, or aggregate yards.
• Forklift experience alone does not meet minimum qualifications.

Responsabilités

• Operate a front-end loader safely and efficiently to move materials within the plant yard or job site.
• Work safely around haul trucks, stockpiles, moving equipment, and uneven terrain.
• Conduct pre-operation inspections, report mechanical issues, and follow safety protocols and site procedures.
• Inspect and perform basic maintenance on the loader to ensure safe operation.
• Detect safety hazards and equipment malfunctions and respond accordingly.
• Assist with plant operations as needed, including material handling and cleanup.
• Communicate effectively with plant personnel to coordinate material flow and maintain production schedules.
• Follow directions.
