Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Cashier/Stocker lead to function in the absence of store management. You will support plan-o-gram setup, stock shelves, greet customers, operate the register, and help maintain a clean, secure store focused on profitability and customer satisfaction. This role emphasizes leadership in cashiering and daily store operations.

Strong communication and safety awareness are essential. The position offers full-time hours with opportunities to advance within the Store team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; six months supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience with cash handling and cashier accountability.
• Ability to load/unload trucks and stock/merchandise displays.
• Knowledge of safety policies and procedures.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to follow plan-o-gram guidance.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks according to store processes.
• Receive, open, and unpack cartons and totes.
• Stock and rotate merchandise, build displays.
• Restock returned/recovered merchandise.
• Order zones and drop shipment categories as directed.
• Assist in plan-o-gram implementation and maintenance.
• Assist customers in locating merchandise.
• Maintain store cleanliness and safety.
• Provide superior customer service leadership.
• Open/close the store under Area Manager direction.
