Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Effective communication and customer service skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Ability to perform the technical requirements of cashier and service center.
• Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job functions.
• Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodations.

Responsibilities

• Provide fast, friendly service to customers and maintain Front End standards.
• Greet customers by name when possible and assist with their orders.
• Unload groceries from cart to belt and group items for bagging.
• Scan orders, handle payment transactions, per standard practice.
• Follow procedures for cash handling, refunds, and overrides.
• Maintain a neat and clean front-end area and ensure proper bagging procedures.
• Observe safety and report issues to management.
• Assist with Food Lion To-Go orders when applicable.
