Job summary

Food Lion is seeking a Front End Associate to provide fast, friendly service, greet customers by name when possible, and handle checkout duties with accuracy. You will maintain a clean front-end area and assist with To-Go orders as needed.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Effective communication and customer service skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Ability to perform the technical requirements of cashier and service center.
• Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job functions.
• Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodations.

Responsibilities

• Smile and provide prompt, accurate and friendly service while engaging customers to create a positive shopping experience.
• Greet each customer and use their name whenever possible.
• Unload customers' groceries from cart to belt and group cold items for bagging.
• Follow bagging procedures and cashier transactions per standard practice.
• Maintain neat and clean front-end area and work station.
• Assist with Food Lion To-Go orders and other duties as assigned.
