Job summary

Hendersonville Hardware is a small Ace Hardware store seeking a front end lead to manage the cashier team and run the registers. The role is full time or part time, with hourly pay of $13 to $18 depending on experience.

We operate seven days a week, including Saturdays, and offer PTO, employee discounts, and uniforms. Responsibilities include leading shifts, balancing drawers, training new staff, and maintaining a clean, well-stocked front end and displays.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of cashier experience, with lead/head cashier time.
• Comfortable handling cash and balancing drawers.
• Calm and friendly with customers during busy periods.
• Must be available seven days a week, including Saturdays.
• Stand for long shifts and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Lead the cashier team each shift: breaks, coverage, and register coverage.
• Open/close registers and balance drawers.
• Handle returns, voids, price overrides, and customer issues.
• Help create the schedule and onboard new team members.
• Keep front end, checkout displays, and seasonal sets stocked and clean.
