Job summary

Ace Hardware in Hendersonville, TN is looking for a front end lead to run the registers and the cashier team, full time or part time. This role focuses on leadership at the checkout, cash handling, and ensuring smooth daily operations.

Responsibilities include leading each shift, opening and closing registers, balancing drawers, handling returns and price overrides, training new team members, and keeping front end displays stocked. Apply if you thrive in a busy, customer‑facing environment.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of cashier experience, with some lead or head cashier exposure.
• Comfortable handling cash and balancing drawers.
• Calm and friendly with customers during busy times.
• Able to work full store schedule, including Saturdays.

Responsibilities

• Lead the cashier team each shift: breaks, coverage and jumping on a register when there's a line.
• Open and close registers, and count and balance drawers.
• Handle returns, voids, price overrides and customer issues.
• Help make the schedule, and train and onboard new team members.
• Keep the front end, checkout displays and seasonal sets stocked and clean.
