Job summary

Ace Hardware in Hendersonville, TN is looking for a front end lead to run the registers and the cashier team, full time or part time. This role focuses on leadership at the checkout, cash handling, and ensuring smooth daily operations.

We're hiring a front end lead to run the registers and the cashier team, full time or part time.

What you'll do:

• Lead the cashier team each shift: breaks, coverage and jumping on a register when there's a line
• Open and close registers, and count and balance drawers
• Handle returns, voids, price overrides and customer issues
• Help make the schedule, and train and onboard new team members
• Keep the front end, checkout displays and seasonal sets stocked and clean

What we're looking for:

• 1+ year of cashier experience, ideally with some time as a lead, key holder or head cashier
• Comfortable handling cash and balancing drawers
• Calm and friendly with customers when things get busy
• Availability that fits the store's schedule. We're open seven days a week, and Saturdays are a must.
• Comfortable on your feet for a full shift and able to lift up to 50 lbs
