Job summary

Hendersonville Hardware is a small Ace Hardware store seeking a front end lead to manage the cashier team and run the registers. The role is full time or part time, with hourly pay of $13 to $18 depending on experience.

We operate seven days a week, including Saturdays, and offer PTO, employee discounts, and uniforms. Responsibilities include leading shifts, balancing drawers, training new staff, and maintaining a clean, well-stocked front end and displays.

Qualifications

• Must be available seven days a week, including Saturdays.
• Stand for long shifts and lift up to 50 lbs.

Hendersonville Hardware is a small, family-run Ace Hardware store, locally owned and operated. Pay is $13 to $18 an hour depending on experience. We're open seven days a week, so we need people whose availability fits the store's schedule, including Saturdays.

We're hiring a front end lead to run the registers and the cashier team, full time or part time.

What you'll do:

• Lead the cashier team each shift: breaks, coverage and jumping on a register when there's a line
• Open and close registers, and count and balance drawers
• Handle returns, voids, price overrides and customer issues
• Help make the schedule, and train and onboard new team members
• Keep the front end, checkout displays and seasonal sets stocked and clean

What we're looking for:

• 1+ year of cashier experience, ideally with some time as a lead, key holder or head cashier
• Comfortable handling cash and balancing drawers
• Calm and friendly with customers when things get busy
• Availability that fits the store's schedule. We're open seven days a week, and Saturdays are a must.
• Comfortable on your feet for a full shift and able to lift up to 50 lbs
