Job summary

Ford Motor Company is seeking an experienced Front-End (UI) Lead Engineer to design, develop, and deliver scalable front-end applications. You will mentor a team, drive best practices, and ensure robust, user-centric solutions that integrate with microservices and cloud-based services.

The role emphasizes JavaScript, React, Next.js, MACH architecture, and cloud platforms, with remote-friendly collaboration and a hybrid onsite model in Dearborn, MI.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 8+ years of hands-on software engineering with a front-end focus.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills; ability to work with distributed teams.
• Experience with modern front-end architectures, micro frontends, and cloud-native delivery.
• Familiarity with AEM and Google Cloud Platform is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and delivery of micro frontend modules for Ford eCommerce products.
• Evaluate and improve application architecture to support evolving technology.
• Design, develop, and optimize reusable front-end components with high code quality and ≥80% test coverage.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and architects to align with product vision.
• Mentor engineers and drive best practices in UI engineering, CI/CD, and testing.
• Develop POCs using emerging technologies and contribute to cloud-based solutions.
