Job summary
Ford Motor Company is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager for eCommerce to lead the software engineering delivery organization behind Ford.com's vehicle purchase experience. You will guide Engineering Managers who lead multiple Scrum teams, delivering front-end experiences in React and Next.js.
You will partner with Product, Design, Architecture, and platform teams to translate priorities into well-sequenced roadmaps, while growing leadership bench strength to scale across the vehicle purchase
Qualifications
- 15+ years of progressive software engineering experience.
- 10+ years of people leadership, including at least 5+ years managing managers.
- 5+ years leading Agile/Scrum-based delivery in eCommerce, digital retail, or consumer-facing product environments.
- Automotive/retail experience is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop Engineering Managers, providing coaching, performance feedback, and career development.
- Oversee end-to-end software delivery across multiple Scrum teams supporting online vehicle purchase capabilities.
- Partner with Product Management and Design leadership to translate business objectives into actionable engineering plans and sprint commitments.
- Drive Agile delivery excellence, including sprint planning, backlog health, velocity, and predictability.
