Job summary

FTAI Aviation Ltd. in Miami, FL is seeking a Front End Inspector for the 2nd shift to perform incoming and teardown inspections on CFM56 engines, modules, and components.

You will document findings, record part disposition, and support planning, engineering, and customer reps. The role requires attention to detail, basic ERP skills, and ability to work in a shop environment with safety programs in place.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years of inspection or technician experience on turbine engines in an FAA Part 145 repair station or equivalent.
• Strong attention to detail and clear, accurate written documentation.
• Basic computer skills; experience with an MRO ERP system (SAP/AMOS/Quantum).
• Legally eligible to work in the United States and pass a background check and drug screen.
• Working knowledge of engine manuals, CMMs, service bulletins and airworthiness directives.

Responsibilities

• Perform receiving inspection on inducted engines, modules, and parts.
• Conduct visual inspections during teardown per manuals and procedures.
• Disposition parts as repairable, scrap or quarantine; tag and route appropriately.
• Record findings and photos in the ERP system with clear, signed entries.
• Support work scope development by flagging findings to planning and engineering.
• Follow FOD, tool control, ESD and safety programs and keep area orderly.
• Assist internal, customer and regulatory audits.
