Job summary

CIS Secure is seeking a Front-End Software Developer – Modeling & Simulation / HITL to join our team supporting the REACT program at Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG), Maryland.

The role develops intuitive interfaces for modeling/simulation, HITL environments, and engineering workflows, enabling engineers to configure systems, visualize data, and interact with physical hardware. APG-based position with security requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience building production-quality front-end apps with modern JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks (React/Angular/Vue).
• Strong HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript and modern web app architecture skills.
• Experience connecting front-ends to REST APIs/WebSockets and other back-end services.
• Experience building data-rich dashboards, visualization tools, or engineering interfaces.
• Familiarity with Git, automated testing, code reviews, and CI/CD workflows.
• Ability to translate complex system requirements into intuitive UIs with engineers/technical users.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement front-end UIs for engineering, simulation, and test applications.
• Collaborate with M&S engineers, embedded and hardware teams to translate workflows into software.
• Develop modern front-end apps that integrate with real-time data and HITL environments.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
