Job summary

Food Lion in Newport, NC is seeking a Front End Associate to deliver fast, friendly service at the checkout, greet customers by name when possible, and help maintain accurate cash handling and smooth register operations.

You will assist the Customer Service Manager and the Assistant Customer Service Manager in upholding Front End standards, keeping the front end area clean and organized, and following the company dress code and safety policies.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Effective communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Ability to perform cashier and service center tasks.
• Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job functions.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide prompt, friendly service to create a positive shopping experience.
• Maintain knowledge of front end procedures, cash handling, and register functions.

• Assist with maintaining accurate cash reports, deposits, and related tasks.
• Support store operations and advise on safety and service standards.
