Job summary

Food Lion is seeking a Front End Associate in Surf City, NC to provide fast, friendly service and uphold store standards. You will greet customers, assist at checkout, bag groceries, and support To-Go orders when scheduled.

Responsibilities include handling cash with accuracy, following bagging and safety procedures, and assisting with daily store operations while delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Effective communication and customer service skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job functions.
• Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodations.

Responsibilities

• Smile and provide prompt, accurate and friendly service while engaging customers to create a positive shopping experience.
• Greet each customer and use their name when possible.
• Unload customers' groceries from cart to belt and group items for easy bagging.
• Scan orders and handle payments per standard practice.
• Follow correct bagging procedures and cash handling procedures.
• Identify customers needing assistance and offer to take orders to their car (including To-Go orders).
• Maintain a neat and clean front-end area and ensure required supplies are stocked.
