Food Lion in Mooresville, NC is seeking a friendly Front End Associate to provide fast, accurate service at the checkout and help customers with their shopping needs.

You will greet customers, process transactions, bag items, and maintain a neat front-end area while upholding Food Lion standards.

This role requires effective communication, ability to multitask, and adherence to safety and cash-handling procedures; previous retail or cashier experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Effective communication and customer service skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Ability to perform cashier and service center duties.
• Must meet minimum age requirements.
• Must be able to meet physical requirements of the position.

Responsabilités

• Smile and provide prompt, accurate and friendly service while engaging customers to create a positive shopping experience.
• Greet each customer and uses his or her name whenever possible.
• Scan customers' order and handle the payment transaction, per standard practice.
• Maintain neat and clean front-end area and keep bags, receipts, and supplies stocked.
• Follow procedures for refunds, over-rings, and price checks as needed.
• Identify customers needing assistance and offer to take their order to their car or assist with Food Lion To-Go (if applicable).
• Adhere to cash handling procedures and safety standards at all times.
• Perform the task of cashier when scheduled or as needed per the surge plan guidelines.
