You will follow store policies, support back end tasks as needed, wear the uniform, and help sustain a positive shopping experience. The role requires good communication, reliability, and physical ability to stand for long periods.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Effective communication and customer service skills are essential.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Ability to perform the technical requirements of cashier and service center.
• Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job functions.
• Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodations.

Responsibilities

• Smile and provide prompt, accurate and friendly service while engaging customers to create a positive shopping experience.
• Greet each customer and use his or her name when possible.
• Scan customers' order and handle the payment transaction, per standard practice.
• Follow procedures for refunds and error correction and maintain cash control.
• Identify customers needing assistance and offer to take the customer’s order to their car (Food Lion To-Go if applicable).
