• Maintain knowledge of products and respond to questions with suggestions.
• Monitor and control supply expenses for the department.
• Manage cash control, sales, and cash handling records.
• Schedule Front-end associates for adequate department coverage.
• Assist store management with budget, P&L reviews, and action on financial reports.
• Develop and implement a department business plan to achieve results.
• Create and execute sales promotions with store management.
• Implement the promotional plan for the department.
• Stay informed about ads and promotions; adjust as needed.
• Monitor and control department expenses.
• Maintain awareness of inventory/stocking conditions; note discrepancies.
• Schedule price changes by updating shelf tags and signs.
• Plan, organize, and supervise inventory processes.
• Train department associates on inventory/stocking and ordering.
• Adhere to all food safety regulations and safety procedures.
• Identify unsafe conditions and notify management.
• Inspect equipment and arrange repairs as needed.
• Notify management of accidents and safety risks.
• Report safety risks, theft, or fraud as required.
• Oversee and manage efficient operations of Front-end functions.
• Adhere to local, state, federal laws and company guidelines.
• Assist management in supervising and coaching front-end associates.
