Job summary

Food Lion is seeking a Front End Associate to deliver fast, friendly service and help maintain our high Front End standards at Store 02564 in Hillsborough, NC. You will greet customers, manage cashier functions, and ensure accurate transactions and reporting while supporting the Front End team.

Applicants should have a high school diploma (or equivalent) and strong communication skills. The role involves standing, light lifting, and daily interaction with customers in a busy store environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred; strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to learn multiple tasks and cashier/ service center requirements.
• Must meet minimum age and physical requirements for the role.

Responsibilities

• Smile and provide prompt, accurate and friendly service while engaging customers to create a positive shopping experience
• Greet each customer and use their name when possible
• Maintain neat and clean front end presentation and office functions
• Manage cash handling, deposits, and related reporting with accuracy
• Operate cash register and related front end equipment; report malfunctions
• Ensure MVP savings center KIOSK is functional and stocked
• Perform front end duties as scheduled or per surge plan
• Adhere to company guidelines and maintain safety standards
