Responsibilities include operating the POS system, handling cash, checks, and other payment methods, and following company policies on ads, pricing, and loss prevention. A friendly, cooperative attitude is essential to support store operations.

Qualifications

• Ability to handle stressful situations.
• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, subtraction).
• Prior experience as a Bagger or Courtesy Clerk.

Responsibilities

• Greet, engage, and assist customers.
• Process customer transactions through the check lane quickly, accurately, and efficiently.
• Understand the POS system and handle tenders per policy.
• Adhere to cash handling limits and prevent loss.
• Follow guidelines for restricted sale items (alcohol, tobacco, DVDs).
• Report pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator.
• Stay current with ads and promotions.
• Adhere to food safety regulations and safety policies.
• Maintain a safe, clean environment and assist customers as needed.
• Support store operations and teamwork in a fast-paced setting.
• Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
