• Prior experience as a Bagger or Courtesy Clerk.

Responsibilities

• Greet, engage and assist customers to create an outstanding store experience.
• Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently at the check lane.
• Understand the POS system and handle tenders such as Cash, Checks, Credit, Debit, SNAP EBT, and other loyalty offers.
• Adhere to company policies on cash shortages/overages and loss prevention.
• Follow guidelines for restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs) and report pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator.
• Follow policies for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons and stay current with ads and promotions.
• Adhere to all food safety regulations and participate in safety programs; identify unsafe conditions and report them.
• Carry out preventive maintenance by inspecting equipment and notifying management of repairs.
• Provide friendly assistance and answer questions to help customers feel welcome and valued.
