Job summary

Kroger in Westminster, CO is hiring for a part-time Customer Service Clerk/Bagger. You will greet customers, assist at the register, and process transactions quickly and accurately while keeping the checkout area clean and welcoming. You will use the POS system, handle cash and card payments, and follow store policies.

• Prior experience as a bagger or courtesy clerk.

Responsibilities

• Greet, engage, and assist customers.
• Process transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently.
• Understand and operate the POS system and handle various tenders (cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, offline SNAP EBT, WIC, rain checks, loyalty offers, coupons) according to policy.
• Adhere to cash handling limits and loss prevention policies.
• Follow restrictions on sale items (alcohol, tobacco, DVDs).
• Report pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator.
• Follow policies for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons.
• Stay current with ads and promotions.
• Adhere to food safety regulations and safety procedures.
• Identify unsafe conditions and notify management.
• Inspect equipment and report repairs.
• Create a welcoming environment and answer product questions.
• Comply with local, state, and federal laws and company guidelines.
• Work cooperatively in a fast-paced environment and manage conflicts calmly.
• Maintain honesty and integrity in handling customer and business information.
• Follow directions and seek help when needed.
• Provide support to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
