Qualifications

• Ability to handle stressful situations.
• Knowledge of basic math (counting and basic arithmetic).
• Prior experience as a Bagger or Courtesy Clerk.

Responsibilities

• Greet, engage, and assist customers.
• Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently.
• Understand POS system and handle tenders (Cash, Checks, Credit, Debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, coupons) per policy.
• Adhere to cash handling limits and prevent loss.
• Follow guidelines on restricted items (alcohol, tobacco, DVDs).
• Report pricing discrepancies and follow store policies for stamps and coupons.
• Stay current with ads and promotions; uphold food safety regulations.
• Support safety programs and identify unsafe conditions to store management.
• Inspect equipment and notify for repairs.
• Create welcoming environment and answer questions about products.
• Adhere to laws and company guidelines; work well in fast-paced environments; handle conflicts calmly.
• Provide support to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
• Must be able to perform essential functions with or without accommodation.
