Job summary

Spec's Family Partners in Irving, TX is seeking a Part Time Front-End Associate to deliver outstanding guest experiences at the register and throughout the store.

You will greet guests, process payments, ensure accurate pricing, suggest add-ons and the charity option, and keep the checkout area clean and organized. The role requires standing most of the shift, heavy lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally, and a friendly, reliable attitude.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in retail or customer service preferred
• Familiarity with cash handling procedures
• Knowledge of basic math for cash transactions
• Strong communication skills, including phone etiquette

Responsibilities

• Greet guests with a smile and helpful demeanor, use the guest services script
• Operate cash register or electronic scanner and look up products
• Ensure proper pricing by scanning barcodes
• Suggestively sell items and offer add-ons, including charity of the month
• Receive cash, checks, debit/credit cards, and gift cards and issue receipts
• Maintain a clean and organized checkout area and manage inventories at the register
