Kroger Co. in Vernon Hills, IL is hiring for a Customer Service / Cashier role. You will assist customers, process sales, operate the register, and uphold company values of respect, integrity and safety while delivering friendly service.

You’ll handle refunds, answer questions, and keep the checkout area clean and efficient, with opportunities for growth within the Kroger family and flexible scheduling across various shifts.

Qualifications

• Six months cashier experience to work at Customer Service Desk.
• Minimum 18 years of age; 19 in Idaho/Alaska for tobacco sales.
• Ability to pass a drug test.
• Ability to work weekends and overtime as needed.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Responsabilités

• Deliver and encourage associates to provide excellent customer service.
• Perform cashier duties: open/close register, ring sales, process transactions.
• Maintain cleanliness of checkstand area and handle price discrepancies.
• Answer phones and process refunds, exchanges and payments at the service desk.
• Provide lottery service where applicable and manage lost and found.
