Kroger Co. in Northbrook, IL is hiring a Cashier/Checker to deliver outstanding customer experiences at the checkout. You will greet customers, scan items, and process transactions accurately.

You will operate the POS system, handle cash, checks, cards, EBT and coupons, and follow loss-prevention guidelines while staying compliant with store policies and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, subtraction)

Responsabilités

• Be visible, greet, engage and assist customers at the check lane.
• Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently.
• Understand POS system and handle tenders: cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, rain checks, loyalty offers, coupons.
• Adhere to company cash shortage/overage limits and control loss.
• Follow guidelines on restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs).
• Report pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator.
• Stay current with ads and food safety regulations.
• Create a welcoming environment and answer questions about products.
