Job summary

Kroger Family of Companies is seeking a Customer Service/Bilingual? friendly associate at our Albuquerque store to assist customers and process sales. You will deliver excellent service, handle cashier duties, and support store operations.

Responsibilities include opening/closing the desk, processing refunds, handling money orders, and maintaining store standards. Must be reliable, have a HS diploma or GED, and be able to work weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Six months cashier experience to work at Customer Service Desk.
• Must be 18 years of age (19 in some states) and able to pass a drug test.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work weekends regularly and overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and encourage associates to deliver excellent customer service.
• Perform cashier functions: open/close register, ring sales, tender transactions, bag merchandise, and knowledge of produce codes.
• Complete file maintenance log for price discrepancies.
• Maintain cleanliness of checkstand area to standards.
• Answer telephones and comply with corporate policies.
• Promote and follow company initiatives; support store accounting functions and deposits.
• Open/close Customer Service Desk; process refunds, exchanges, and various transactions.
• Provide lottery service and distribute licenses where applicable.
• Assist with vendor reports and maintain professionalism in stressful situations.
• Follow directions and resolve customer/business issues with honesty and integrity.
