Job summary

Pick 'n Save is seeking a customer-focused associate to assist customers and process sales at the checkout. You will demonstrate company values and work as part of a team to ensure accurate transactions and friendly service.

The role involves operating the cash register, handling refunds, gift cards, and loyalty programs, and maintaining the checkstand and surrounding area in a clean, organized state. Weekend availability is often required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or combination of relevant education and experience.
• Six months cashier experience to work at Customer Service Desk.
• Minimum 18 years of age/19 in some states if selling tobacco.
• Ability to pass drug test and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work weekends, any shift, and overtime as needed.
• Ability to organize/prioritize tasks and maintain accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and encourage associates to deliver excellent customer service.
• Perform cashier transactions, open/close register, process tenders, bag merchandise, and know produce codes.
• Complete file maintenance for price discrepancies and maintain checkstand cleanliness.
• Answer telephones and comply with corporate policies; promote company initiatives.
• Provide lottery service and licenses where applicable; handle refunds and exchanges; issue money orders and gift cards.
