Job summary

SpartanNash is hiring at our Grand Rapids, MI location for a Store Associate in the D&W Fresh Market family. You will stock products, handle front-end duties, and help maintain guest satisfaction while following safety and sanitation standards.

The role requires strong customer service, basic math, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally. High school diploma or GED preferred; prior retail experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Retail or related experience is a plus.
• Ability to speak with customers politely and effectively.

Responsibilities

• Process cash, checks, cards, food stamps, WIC, loyalty cards, and coupons accurately.
• Assist in receiving, unloading and stocking products in required areas.
• Run the cash register and enroll guests in the loyalty program; maintain a clean service area.
• Ensure proper use of PLU codes and report pricing/signage errors.
• Maintain a clean, stocked department and follow safety guidelines.
• Communicate store programs, specials and coupons to customers.
• Follow PPE and safety guidelines and food safety expectations.
• May assist in other departments as needed.
