Job summary

SpartanNash is hiring a part-time Team Member for the Family Fare location in Grand Rapids, MI. You will handle cash transactions, assist with stocking, and deliver friendly customer service while maintaining a clean, organized department.

This role supports front-end duties, loyalty program enrollment, and adherence to safety and food safety standards in a dynamic retail environment. Prior retail experience is preferred and a high school diploma or GED is commonly required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• One year of retail or related experience preferred.
• Good verbal communication skills; interact politely with customers.
• Good customer service and organizational skills; detail-oriented.
• Basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills required.

Responsibilities

• Process financial transactions accurately per policy.
• Assist in receiving, unloading and stocking products.
• Run the cash register and enroll guests in loyalty program.
• Ensure correct pricing and signage; report pricing errors.
• Maintain clean, stocked department and service area.
• Communicate store programs and in-store promotions to customers.
• Follow safety, security, and sanitation guidelines.
• Support other departments as needed.
