Fresh Thyme Farmers Market is seeking a cashier to efficiently handle customer sales at front registers while ensuring accuracy, friendly service, and safeguards for company assets. You will assist customers, process transactions, and maintain a clean, organized checkout area in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, with 1–2 years grocery retail experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency required.
• 1–2 years grocery retail experience preferred.
• Experience in natural foods is a plus.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Walk the store before shift to review promos and items.
• Compute bills, itemized lists, and tickets with amounts due.
• Receive payments by cash, check, card, or gift card.
• Issue receipts, refunds, rain checks, and change as needed.
• Operate the POS system and scan items for purchase.
• Greet customers and maintain a clean checkout area.
• Issue coupons and rain checks; perform other duties as assigned.
