The Restaurant Store is seeking a Front End Associate to provide top-notch customer service at our Baltimore location. You will handle cashier duties, assist customers at the front of the store, and serve as the first contact for in-store and phone inquiries, ensuring smooth checkout operations and accurate transactions.

You will support returns, memberships, and questions while maintaining a clean and organized front-end area, assisting with merchandising and inventory tasks as needed.

Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of retail or supply chain experience.
High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
Proficiency with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM systems.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Deliver friendly, efficient front-end service and ensure a smooth checkout.
Consistently achieve high levels of POS transactions daily.
Assist customers with register transactions, cash handling, and memberships.
Process returns and restock items accordingly.

Job Summary

The Front End Associate with The Restaurant Store is responsible for delivering a high level of service and satisfaction to all customers in a retail branch location. The Front End Associate supports key operational goals by efficiently handling cashier duties, assisting customers at the front of the store, and serving as the first point of contact for in-store and phone inquiries. This role ensures smooth checkout operations, accurate transactions, organized front-end areas, and effective support with returns, memberships, and customer questions. Through strong customer service strategies and collaboration with branch leadership, the Front End Associate helps advance the goals of our sales, order fulfillment, merchandising and inventory teams.

Responsibilities

Deliver friendly, efficient front-end customer service and ensure a smooth checkout experience
Consistently achieve high levels of point-of-sale transactions on a daily basis
Assist customers with accurate register transactions, including cash handling and membership verification, as well as loading purchases into customer vehicles
Process customer returns and ensure items are restocked appropriately
Expedite customer flow through checkout lanes to minimize wait times
Serve as the first point of contact for incoming phone calls, providing prompt assistance or directing inquiries
Guide customers within the store and answer questions about policies, memberships, pricing, and general inquiries
Maintain cleanliness and organization of checkout lanes, registers, carts, and the front area of the location
Refill and merchandise impulse products at the front end to support sales
Perform additional tasks and support initiatives as assigned by management to ensure smooth location operations and alignment with overall business goals

Physical Requirements

Work is performed while standing and/or walking, up to and including 9 hours/day.
Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing.
Requires the regular use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations.
Requires regular bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching.
Requires the ability to regularly lift, carry, push, or pull medium weights, up to 50lbs.

Experience

Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in retail and/or supply chain management
High school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience

Education

Proficiency with MS Office required (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and experience with CRM systems and project management tools
