The NYC Department of Social Services is seeking a Clerical Associate III to serve as a Front Door Receptionist. This role involves greeting visitors, managing appointment logs, and providing information about various services. Ideal candidates should have a high school diploma and strong typing skills. The position offers a supportive environment within the Family Independence Administration, contributing to the community's social service needs.
Family Independence Administration provides temporary help to individuals and families with social service and economic needs to assist them in reaching self-sufficiency through various programs/services, such as: temporary cash assistance, SNAP, childcare, eviction prevention, adult protective services, job training, employment support, domestic violence assistance, child support enforcement, etc.
Under the supervision of the Front Door Reception (FDR) Supervisor, with independence to exercise judgment, the Front Door Receptionist is responsible for efficiently routing visitors to the appropriate service areas within a Family Independence Administration Model Center. This includes individuals applying for Public Assistance, Medicaid, Food Stamps, and those currently receiving assistance with scheduled appointments.
9:00am - 5:00pm
Salary Range: $40,957.00 – $47,100.00
