Job summary

Peoria Park District is offering an internship at Owens Ice Center in Peoria, IL. The role supports front desk operations, guest services, and event coordination, with a 20-hour weekly cap (10 hours at Owens Ice Center and 10 hours at Noble Center).

The internship runs through mid-2027, funded by a grant. As an active undergraduate student, you will gain exposure to customer service, volunteer management, and community events such as Zootober.

Qualifications

• Current active college undergraduate student (Sept 2026 - Dec 2026).
• Internship funded through grant; available up to 20 hours per week (10 at Owens Ice Center, 10 at Noble Center).
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed.
• Microsoft Office familiarity preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist front desk with customer service, phone answering, and greeting guests on Tue–Thu afternoons/evenings.
• Maintain appearance and cleanliness of designated areas.
• Assist with concession operations as needed.
• Assist with skating program duties.
• Follow district rules, policies, and safety procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Volunteer coordination for events, including Peoria Zoo's Zootober on Fridays.
