The Front Desk Supervisor is responsible for shift operations of the Front Desk and PBX, training and supervising associates, ensuring outstanding guest service, managing check-in/check-out processes, and responding to guest inquiries. The role acts as a central hub for guest information and supports revenue strategies to maximize walk-in potential. Promoting guest and employee satisfaction is paramount, along with enforcing SOPs and facilitating shift change communication.

Essential Functions

• Journey Philosophy: Demonstrate knowledge of MeyerJabara Journey Philosophy and embody its principles through professional appearance, behavior, and leadership, serving as a coach and mentor.
• Supervisory Responsibility: Support departmental SOPs, promote a positive work environment, and recognize staff achievements while enforcing policies.
• Communications: Ensure accurate, timely, and effective communication within the team and with guests.
• Financial Responsibility: Manage departmental expenses, adhere to cash and credit policies, and respond to business fluctuations.
• Human Resources: Follow HR SOPs, foster teamwork, maintain morale, and participate in HR events.
• Safety & Security: Manage safety protocols, emergency procedures, and guest confidentiality.
• Technical Knowledge: Utilize hotel PMS and MARSHA reservation systems effectively to deliver excellent guest service and troubleshoot issues.
• Projects/Special Assignments: Develop guest service initiatives and complete special projects related to training, SOPs, and guest satisfaction.
• Problem Resolution: Manage guest issues promptly and empower staff to resolve concerns on the spot.
