William & Mary is seeking a Front Desk Supervisor for University Advancement to oversee communications, reception, and office services in the Discovery buildings. The Front Desk Supervisor for University Advancement is a critical member of the Advancement Services & Innovation team in the Office of University Advancement at William & Mary. The Front Desk Supervisor reports to the Executive Director, Advancement Operations & Foundation Resource Planning and collaborates with colleagues across University Advancement and across campus to ensure the highest quality customer service and business operations functions for the office. As the hub of administrative support for Advancement leaders, the Front Desk Supervisor is responsible for maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and customer service for the office in our interactions with our constituents and support for senior leadership and all office functions, including business and building operations, staff engagement, executive administrative support and emergency response management. The Advancement Services & Innovation team includes most administrative, fiscal, human resources and research services under the Senior Vice President for University Advancement. The Front Desk Supervisor will help foster a culture of belonging that embraces all people and perspectives and ensures alignment with William & Mary’s institutional values and strategic priorities. This position is a full-time in-person role, based in Williamsburg and is expected to work in the University Advancement office in New Town. Salary: $48,000 - $51,000, commensurate with experience and internal alignment.
This is a non‑exempt position, eligible to receive overtime in accordance with the Fair Labor Standards Act. This position will work in‑person 8am‑5pm, five days a week, Monday through Friday. Flexibility is required as the position is subject to overtime during high peak times to include evenings and weekends around university events and deadlines.
