Job description

Job Summary:The Guest Services Administrator is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the guest services department. This role ensures exceptional guest experiences through effective planning, employee development, and adherence to financial and service standards.

Key Responsibilities

Administration

  • Maintain high standards of quality guest service.

  • Develop and manage financial and operational plans aligned with hotel goals.

  • Achieve budgeted revenue and expense targets while maximizing profitability.

  • Lead reservation efforts to optimize occupancy and average daily rate.

  • Ensure proper procedures for financial transactions, credit control, and guest security.

  • Resolve guest concerns in a courteous and timely manner.

  • Use office and accounting software accurately.

Support & Reporting

  • Communicate clearly and effectively in English with guests, associates, and vendors.

  • Assist in preparing statistical reports and presentations as needed.

  • Report information accurately and support the accounting department as necessary.

  • Follow all hotel policies and procedures and support accountability within the team.

  • Attend all required meetings.

Professionalism & Communication

  • Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.

  • Stay calm and adaptable under pressure.

  • Take responsibility for personal development and growth.

  • Communicate the hotels mission and values clearly to others.

  • Resolve conflicts respectfully and maintain positive working relationships.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to lift and pull up to 20 pounds.

  • Perform physical tasks such as bending, pushing, stooping, reaching, and using manual dexterity.

  • Capable of hearing, writing, and typing for extended periods.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education preferred.

  • Experience in hotel operations or guest services is required.

  • Strong computer and math skills.

  • Knowledge of hotel departments and applicable health, safety, and legal regulations.

  • Ability to obtain any required licenses or certificates.

  • CPR certification required; First Aid training preferred.

  • Additional language skills are a plus.
