The Guest Service Supervisor is a leader for the hotel’s front desk and guest services team. Guest Service Supervisors must be strong problem-solvers with an unwavering focus on guest satisfaction throughout the hospitality experience. The Supervisor will assist in staffing, promote hotel brand standards, train and coach team members, and model expected behavior. The primary responsibilities include resolving guest challenges, executing hotel brand service standards, exceeding guest expectations, and maintaining communication with guests, team members, managers, and other hotel departments.

What you'll be doing...
  • Welcome arriving guests and complete the check-in process, fulfilling special requests and ensuring accurate information is received.
  • Engage in purposeful communication and build rapport with guests, uncovering their expectations and needs.
  • Effectively communicate with guests via phone or electronic means to ensure satisfaction.
  • Promote hotel loyalty programs, encourage participation, and offer upgrades when appropriate.
  • Coordinate with hotel departments to meet guest needs and resolve challenges promptly.
  • Listen and empathize with guests; solicit feedback and act on concerns.
  • Maintain professionalism consistent with hotel standards.
  • Know emergency procedures; assist guests during emergencies.
  • Use communication logs and notify team members of pertinent information.
  • Coach and counsel front office staff; ensure accountability to standards.
  • If applicable, manage the house bank and log transactions accurately.
Success Factors...

Experience & Education:

  • 2+ years of customer service experience, preferably in hospitality or related industry
  • High School diploma or equivalent required

Communication:

  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • Ability to speak, read, and write in the primary language used in the workplace

Physical:

  • Stand and walk frequently; 8+ hours at a desk/computer
  • Lift and maneuver up to 30 pounds occasionally
