Job summary

Volunteers of America–Greater New York is seeking a Front Desk Monitor for Legacy Family Residence in Brooklyn, NY. The role greets visitors, takes messages, assists residents, routes deliveries, and controls front door access.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED preferred, plus good interpersonal skills and basic computer knowledge. Certifications required: Security License and Fire Guard (F-02); CPR/First Aid and Coordinator of Fire Safety & Alarms (F80) within 90 days

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Must possess good interpersonal skills and basic computer knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Greet all visitors; assist them directly or announce their arrival to staff or residents.
• Ensure that all clients sign in and out as required.
• Route mail and deliveries as required.
• Handle or assist in crisis intervention.
• Follow assigned procedures in emergency situations.
• Conduct rounds at residence as assigned.
