Job summary

Gold's Gym Washington is hiring a Service Motivator to greet members and guests, guide tours, and promote memberships with a positive, high-energy attitude. You will receive full training and have opportunities to advance within the club.

This part-time, hourly role requires a friendly communicator who can handle front desk duties, answer questions, and support club services while maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for all guests.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent or currently enrolled.
• Must be CPR/AED certified or willing to obtain CPR certification within 30 days of employment.
• Friendly, positive, and genuinely motivated to help people.
• Comfortable using computers and basic software.
• Dependable and punctual.
• Available to work weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Maintain front desk security by ensuring members and guests are checked in.

• Answer phone calls and questions about the club and services.

Position Overview

As a Service Motivator, you are the first person every member and guest meets, and you set the tone for their entire visit. Your role is to create memorable experiences and guide guests toward joining the gym, and both are expected every shift. We provide full training, and many of our managers began their careers in this role.

Key Responsibilities

Member Experience and Growth

• Greet every member by first name and every guest with a smile
• Maintain front desk security by making sure every member and guest is checked in
• Make every member and guest experience memorable
• Answer phone calls and questions about the club and services
• Lead tours and help guests choose the membership that best fits their goals
• Enroll new members and introduce personal training and other club services
• Follow up with guests after their visits

Club Operations

• Conduct regular walk-throughs to keep the club clean, organized, and equipment ready.
• Complete shift procedures and handoffs
• Process retail and membership transactions
• Assist members with account and billing questions, escalating issues to management as needed
• Log maintenance needs and report safety concerns or incidents to management
• Support additional duties as needed

Qualifications

• Comfortable talking with anyone, in person and by phone
• Able to manage multiple tasks and stay composed during busy periods
• Comfortable using computers and basic software
• Dependable and punctual
• Available to work weekends and holidays

Compensation and Benefits

• $17.13 - $18.00 per hour, based on experience

Work Environment

You’ll be on your feet for the entire shift and must be comfortable with that. This role also requires moving throughout the club and lifting up to 55 lbs. The gym is an active, high-energy environment with music and equipment noise..
