Job summary

Gold's Gym PNW is seeking a General Manager to lead our club’s culture and teams, driving membership growth and achieving performance goals. You will own coaching and development, run strategic team meetings, and celebrate milestones with the staff and members.

You will manage revenue, labor, and expenses while maintaining a welcoming, high-energy environment. Onsite-only role with opportunity to advance in a multi-club organization.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years managing a team of 10+ and developing people
  • 3+ years in fitness, hospitality, restaurant, retail, or other service operations
  • Proven success hitting sales or revenue goals
  • Comfortable reading KPI and labor reports and turning them into action
  • Availability across weekdays, weekends, and holidays
  • CPR/AED certification, which can be obtained after hire

Responsibilities

  • Set the standard for a Motivating, Authentic, and Passionate club culture and model it every day
  • Develop your co-leader as a true partner in running the club and a future General Manager
  • Run team meetings that share goals, promotions, and wins, and keep everyone informed and equipped
  • Recognize great work and celebrate team and member milestones
  • Own the club's membership goals and build the plan to hit them each month
  • Lead tours and guide guests to memberships that fit their goals
  • Coach the team on lead follow-up, guest experience, and converting first visits into members
  • Drive retention so members stay engaged, upgrade, and keep coming back
  • Bring club promotions, events, and community partnerships to life
  • Recruit, hire, and onboard a team that fits the culture
  • Train, coach, and hold the team accountable through observation and feedback
  • Build schedules that cover peak hours and stay within labor budget
  • Grow team members into the club's next leaders
  • Manage the club's revenue, labor, and expense goals and use numbers to plan weekly/monthly
  • Own KPIs and present results to leadership
  • Ensure every member interaction leaves them glad they’re part of the gym
  • Keep the club clean, safe, and equipment-ready; manage repairs and vendors
  • Ensure opening and closing procedures and company policies are followed

Qualifications
  • A leader who genuinely wants to help people better themselves through fitness.
  • 2+ years managing a team of 10 or more, with a track record of developing people
  • 3+ years in fitness, hospitality, restaurant, retail, or other service operations
  • Proven success hitting sales or revenue goals
  • Comfortable reading KPI and labor reports and turning them into action
  • Strong communicator, in writing and in person, and an even stronger listener
  • Comfortable with gym or POS software, email, and scheduling tools
  • Availability across weekdays, weekends, and holidays
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree a plus
  • CPR/AED certification, which can be obtained after hire
Compensation and Benefits
  • $45,000 - $60,000 annually based on experience
  • Paid Time Off (PTO) after first 90 days of employment
  • Free membership at all Gold's Gym PNW clubs, including tanning and red-light therapy, plus a guest
  • Leadership development and room to grow within a multi-club organization
Work Environment

You'll be on your feet for the entire shift and must be comfortable with that. You'll move through every area of the club, occasionally lifting, spotting, or demonstrating exercises. It's a busy gym: music, weights, and lots of people. Onsite only; relocation assistance is not provided.
