Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer at the full-time reception credentialing role in Atlanta, GA. You will staff the front desk of a financial institution, manage visitor access, and deliver professional customer service while enforcing security procedures and policies.

The position requires engagement with visitors, identification verification, and accurate visitor logs. You will respond to incidents calmly and coordinate with security teams to maintain a safe environment.

Qualifications

• Six months of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• DD214 or associate degree or 60 college credits or academy certificates required.
• Armed guard card or license preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check as per federal, state and local laws.
• Drug screen as a condition of employment.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• Driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to employees, visitors, and guests at the reception area following site procedures.
• Greet visitors, verify identification and access authorization, issue visitor credentials, and maintain logs.
• Monitor access points, receive calls, and direct visitors and staff as needed.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies calmly and per established protocols.
• Report unusual activity or security concerns to the appropriate personnel.
