Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer – Front Desk Services in Wilmington, DE. This full-time role involves welcoming visitors, managing access, monitoring alarms, and supporting security operations at a commercial real estate site.

The position requires at least 18 years old (21+ for armed roles), a high school diploma or equivalent, and the ability to pass background checks and drug screening. Compensation is $17.50 per hour with a daytime schedule and benefits.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred.
• Loss prevention experience preferred.
• Guard card or license preferred.
• Alarm panel experience preferred.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and clients at a commercial real estate location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Staff the front desk, greet and screen visitors, manage access in accordance with site procedures, and direct guests to appropriate offices or building contacts.
• Monitor building entry activity, visitor logs, communications systems, and assigned cameras or alarms, reporting unusual activity to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and communicating with Allied Universal leadership and emergency responders as needed.
• Assist with front-desk administrative duties, including answering phones, maintaining visitor records, receiving deliveries, and providing information to building occupants and guests.
