Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Full Time in Dayton, NJ. You will serve as the front desk security professional, greeting visitors, supporting access control, and delivering customer service at a logistics and distribution location.

The role uses computer systems to maintain visitor logs, communicate with staff, and report security concerns. Daytime shifts run Monday through Friday with a 08:00-16:00 schedule. A high school diploma and age requirements apply.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, drivers, and vendors by following site-specific security-related procedures and front desk policies at a logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor access to the facility by greeting visitors, verifying credentials, maintaining visitor logs, and directing authorized individuals to appropriate areas.
• Answer and route incoming calls, receive deliveries, and communicate visitor, shipment, and access information to appropriate site personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
• Maintain accurate records of visitor activity, incidents, and front desk communications, and report unusual activity to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.
