Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Front Desk Security professional in Washington, DC to welcome visitors, manage access control, badge processes, and deliver professional customer service at a commercial location.

You will monitor entry activity, respond to alarms and incidents, document events clearly, and maintain accurate visitor records while upholding site policies. The role offers a flexible schedule with opportunities to grow within a leading security services company.

Qualifications

• Possess at least one year of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or tenants by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Staff the front desk, greet and direct visitors, manage visitor access, and maintain accurate visitor records in accordance with site procedures.
• Monitor access points, respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and notify appropriate personnel as required.
• Answer incoming calls, receive deliveries, and provide general information and assistance while maintaining awareness of activity in the lobby and reception area.
