Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year in a similar leadership role (e.g., Front Desk Supervisor, Assistant Front Office Manager)
• High school education required; post-high school preferred
• Basic math skills for cash handling and reporting
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate staff
• Ability to exceed guest and team expectations and maintain service standards

Responsibilities

• Monitor daily status of rooms, rates, discount rates, and packages
• Maintain current list of available rooms for walk-ins
• Coordinate blocking of rooms and pre-register guests
• Act as Service Champion for Front Office and guest relations
• Ensure recognition and timely feedback for employees
• Review staffing levels to meet guest service and financial goals
• Analyze guest feedback and satisfaction data for continuous improvement
• Ensure effective communication with Housekeeping and other departments
• Maintain relationship with valet parking provider
• Monitor department budget and wage costs
• Check registration cards against arrival reports and correct discrepancies
• Provide prompt, courteous service to guests
• Hire, coach, and discipline direct reports
• Act as Manager on Duty as required
• Work nights, weekends, and holidays as necessary
• Perform other duties to meet business objectives
