Job summary

The Theodore Roosevelt Medora Foundation seeks a Front Desk Representative to operate the hotel/motel front desk and assist guests with inquiries. You will efficiently manage check-in and checkout, warmly welcome guests, and direct them to the right staff for help with questions and special requests.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently manages the operations of the front desk, ensuring minimal time for check-in and checkout
• Warmly and professionally welcomes all guests

• Handle guest issues as they arise
• Treats requests with professionalism, tact, and courteous manner
• Ensures prompt delivery of final bills to guests
• Ensures lobby and shared areas are kept neat and orderly

Work Environment

This position is generally in an indoor setting in a controlled, temperate environment. Occasionally working outside in hot conditions when working the Medora Musical.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is continuously required to talk, hear, hand/eye coordination, stand, walk, have repetitive use of hands and arms, and grasp. Visual acuity to determine accuracy, details and transcribe data, determine neatness and thoroughness of work assigned, and determine safety of workplace surroundings for themselves and guests. Occasionally required to push, pull, stoop, bend, lift and carry up to 25 pounds.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Sunday through Saturday. Shifts vary based on business needs and the needs of the customer.
