Job summary

Saint Joseph Health System in Plymouth, Indiana, seeks a Front Desk Receptionist for the Therapy Division to manage scheduling, registrations, and patient communications. You will greet patients, handle calls, verify insurance, collect copays, and support case-management and quality improvement activities.

What you will do:

• The Front Desk Receptionist is responsible for the management and coordination of all front desk operations for the Therapy Division. Supports Therapy office responsibilities, including:
• Manages therapy scheduling and registration, including gathering patient information, selecting appropriate clinicians, verifying insurance, and collecting copays.
• Handles reception duties such as greeting patients, managing calls, scheduling/rescheduling, directing visitors, and performing general office/secretarial tasks.
• Completes case-management functions including obtaining authorizations, managing medical/legal information requests, processing evaluations, and supporting quality improvement activities.
• Supports departmental operations by coordinating meetings, referrals, and communications; using office software effectively; assisting new staff; and performing additional assigned duties.

What you will need:

• HS Diploma or equivalent
• Prior administrative or office coordination experience
• Five years' experience in an outpatient or hospital setting is preferred.
• Experience working with interdisciplinary team with an emphasis on rehabilitation services.
• Case management skills and/or certification in case management preferred.
• Proficient in computer and word processing skills.
• Knowledge in practice billing, coding and reimbursement criteria for Rehabilitation Services.
