Job summary

Belmont Park LLC is seeking a friendly Front Desk Receptionist to greet employees, candidates, guests, and vendors at the main office in San Diego. You will support HR with orientation logistics, communications, and daily administrative tasks while keeping the reception area organized and welcoming.

The role emphasizes strong communication, guest service, and discretion with confidential information, with part-time seasonal hours and base pay in the mid-to-high teens per hour.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience in receptionist, administrative, or HR support is a plus.
  • Strong communication and guest service skills essential.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to learn new systems.
  • Discretion handling confidential information and professional judgment.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome employees, candidates, guests, vendors, and visitors with a friendly and professional attitude.
  • Answer calls, assist general questions, and route callers to the right team.
  • Keep reception and shared spaces organized and stocked for daily operations.
  • Coordinate new hire orientations and communicate details to incoming staff.
  • Prepare orientation folders and interview materials for hiring teams.
  • Support HR with communications, events, and onboarding activities.
  • Create monthly employee newsletters and update communication slides.
  • Assist with filing, scanning, and general administrative tasks.

All About the Front Desk Receptionist Role

Our Front Desk Receptionist is much more than the person behind the front desk! You’ll be one of the first friendly faces employees, candidates, guests, and visitors meet while also supporting Human Resources with recruiting, new hire orientations, employee communications, and daily administrative needs. It’s a great role for someone who enjoys helping people, staying organized, and having a little variety in their day.

What You’ll Be Doing
Be the Face of Our Main Office
  • Welcome employees, candidates, guests, vendors, and visitors with a friendly and professional attitude
  • Answer incoming calls, assist with general questions, and connect callers with the right team
  • Keep the reception area and shared office spaces organized, stocked, and ready for the day
  • Help make sure interviews, meetings, orientations, and office visits start off on the right foot
  • Help coordinate new hire orientations and communicate important details to incoming team members
  • Prepare orientation folders, paperwork, welcome materials, and other supplies
  • Welcome candidates for interviews and notify hiring managers when they arrive
  • Prepare resumes and interview materials for hiring teams
  • Send approved candidate follow-up communications
  • Help HR prepare for hiring fairs and recruiting events
Keep Our Employees Connected
  • Help create monthly employee newsletters, announcements, flyers, and communication slides
  • Keep employee communication areas fresh and up to date
  • Support employee recognition, celebrations, engagement activities, and company events
  • Work with HR to find fun and effective ways to keep our team informed
Keep Things Running Behind the Scenes
  • Assist with filing, scanning, printing, mail, packages, forms, and other administrative projects
  • Help maintain office, kitchen, conference room, and hospitality supplies
  • Prepare meeting spaces for interviews, orientations, and company events
  • Assist with paycheck distribution while protecting employee confidentiality
  • Help coordinate donation requests and related administrative records
  • Jump in on HR and office projects wherever an extra set of hands is needed
Who You Are
  • Friendly, approachable, and comfortable talking with all kinds of people
  • Naturally organized and good at keeping track of the little things
  • Someone who enjoys a day with variety rather than doing the exact same thing every day
  • A strong communicator in person, over the phone, and in writing

What You Bring
  • Previous receptionist, administrative, office, hospitality, or HR support experience is a plus
  • Strong communication and guest service skills
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office and learning new systems
  • Strong organization and attention to detail
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities and interruptions throughout the day
  • Professional judgment and discretion when working with confidential information
  • Bilingual or multilingual communication skills are a plus and valued in supporting our diverse employees and guests.

Requirements
Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periodsofsitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Able to stand/walk up to eight hours at a time.
  • Must be able tolift upto40pounds at times.Able to move equipment which would include pushing, pulling,stoopingand shoving, and bending.
  • Able to work outdoors may be exposed to a variety of weather conditions such as rain, cold temperatures, directsunlighthigh heat, and humidity.
  • Able to work in a noisy environment.
  • Ability to climb stairs.
Skills/Qualifications:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of the principles, procedures, and best practices in the industry.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Expected Hours of Work: Flexible availability is required , including nights, holidays, and peak seasons. Team members must maintain open availability for at least two of the three weekend days: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
